There and Back (again) - A Tale of Beginning

To begin - at the beginning - let us (all 6 of the people that are following this blog) appreciate that I am, indeed, beginning.

Meaning....I am posting two days in a row.

Today is technically: DAY 1.

Yesterday was the set up - the prelude, if you will, to today's ACTUAL beginning.

Okay...okay...enough of the nonsense.

Today will include pictures.

SOME DAYS WON'T

You'll be sad when they don't, but you will survive and grow stronger because of it - and you will come back and check frequently to see if pictures suddenly appear.

THEY WON'T

But you DO need to come back and see what I've been up to. No...really...you must....

So...fast forward to the beginning:

I have a bike.

You don't need to see the whole thing.
You just need to see what I feel is important...because it's my blog and I say so.

And...you need to know...that while riding it brings me joy, getting to the point of riding it is a struggle.

I needed to deliver lunch to Kat, who is busy working on her six-pack abs at cheer practice.
I could have driven
It would have been faster
And easier
And less ... moist...(as in sweat)

But I didn't drive and I'm glad.

I am also thankful for }

There are no hills between my house and the school gym....that you can see with the nekkid eye. However, I firmly believe there is some enchantment over the whole area that makes it LOOK flat, until you ride over it with your bike...then...in the midst of peddling, it's as if you are starting to actually go in reverse. I swear...invisible hills...we haz dem!

Ok...so maybe not. But if it were not for my gearing system, I would be on the side of the road...dead...I just know it.

Then we have:

You know what it is. I don't need to tell you. I don't need to elaborate on the importance of cushy and comfy - padding, padding, padding. But I WILL say this: bike seats are sexy.
I mean - LOOK at it.

O.K. stop looking, you are creeping me out now...Moving on...................

If you don't have one ----> get one. You NEED it.

And then comes the necessary evil -
Let's not discuss my hair as I type this, after trekking up that invisible hill...uphill...both ways....

I'll end with a thank you to my dear feet for getting me there. Without them, it would have been challenging. I made sure to show my appreciation by adorning them in something cute....
You may begin envying me now....

Just don't look at my hair.

I fully expect to wake up tomorrow to find that I have been gifted yet another day. I'm not a religious person, in any way, but I do see each day as a gift.

and so....

maybe...

My camera will find something within that gift to record...and then document....

HERE.

And so concludes my Beginning.
